Importing manufacturer parts

You can quickly find and import components or parts into your models, using Components by TraceParts and Components by 3Dfind.it.

On the Application menu→Tools page, choose:

• Components by TraceParts. This option opens a catalog that contains millions of manufacturer parts. You can search the catalog by keywords, order number, or name.

• Components by 3Dfind.it. This option opens a website that searches millions of manufacturer models.

  To browse the 3Dfind.it website and insert a manufacturer model into the active assembly, choose Home tab→Assemble group→Insert Component→Insert Components from 3Dfind.it.

  The default location for the 3Dfind.it models folder is \Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\UDS\QY CAD\CADENAS Parts. You can change the default location as needed, in the QY CAD Options dialog box, on the File Locations page.

  When you choose to download a model from 3Dfind.it, the system saves the part to the location defined in File Locations.
